Face Coverings Must be Worn Inside Holland Hospital and Outpatient Health Care Settings

Holland Hospital Facemask Policy

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently lifted the mask mandate for individuals who are fully vaccinated. While this is a step forward in resuming the activities people participated in prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to understand the updated recommendations for fully vaccinated individuals only apply to non-healthcare settings.

Hospitalized patients and patients seeking medical treatment may have weakened immune systems. Due to this risk, Holland Hospital is maintaining existing infection control protocols that require masking for all individuals within our facilities, as recommended by the CDC.

The updated CDC guidance on masking reflects the evidence that vaccines are safe and effective and will allow our community to return to a sense of normalcy.

Unvaccinated individuals are advised to continue wearing a mask until they receive a vaccine.

There are a variety of ways to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, including walk-in and scheduled appointments. All individuals 12 years of age and older are encouraged to get their vaccine as soon as possible.
